The Land of Nursery Rhymes

The Three Kittens

This is a story of three little kittens,
The very same three who lost their mittens.
Two were as good as kittens could be,
And looked at a book on their mistress's knee.

But I'm sorry to say that the third little kitty
Was the naughtiest kitten in all the city.
She was always in trouble or some disgrace,
And up to her mischief all over the place.
If you'll pull down the picture and peep within it
You'll see what she's doing this very minute!

But when she grows up a respectable cat
'Tis certain that she will know better then that,
As yet as you see for the truth must be written
She's only a baby, a dear little kitten.
